Due to the trend towards mobile working, almost one in three office jobs in Germany could become redundant. "The Corona crisis has strengthened the trend towards mobile and flexible working. Employees want to work more flexibly in the long term, and the approval of corporate executives who were previously skeptical about home offices has also increased significantly in recent months," says Julia Klier from the management consultancy McKinsey to WELT AM SONNTAG.
Walter Sinn, Germany boss of Bain & Company, expects, according to WELT AM SONNTAG, that 20 to 30 percent of office jobs in Germany will become redundant in the future. According to the consultants' calculations, between three and five million employees are likely to move their workplace to their homes in the next five to seven years.
