8 questions for 4Eck
It was a pleasure to visit the 4Eck Restaurant & Bar in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which has the extraordinary creative and conference room KARO, in person. During our stay, we took the opportunity to ask some interesting questions to find out more about the company and the special features of this unique location, which not only creates an inspiring atmosphere but also offers ideal conditions for unforgettable events.
1. How long has the KARO conference room been around?
Since the 4Eck opened in 2019, so five years now.
2. How did the concept and the space come about?
When we drew up the business plan, it was already clear to us that we would need more space than "just" for the restaurant we wanted to open. Each of us also has our own agency and we needed workspace. When it became clear that we would be taking over the building at Klammstraße 8 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, we were in the fortunate position of having an additional room and revised and expanded our business plan once again. We have both worked a lot in the event sector in the past and being able to offer a small, special area to work and feel good was a matter close to our hearts.
3. How did 4Eck and your space come to ShareYourSpace?
Via Tobias Wagner, a dear guest of ours, who "brought us together".
4. What is a special feature of the space?
The living room atmosphere. KARO is not a classic conference room with banqueting chairs, it is multifunctional and is also used as a restaurant or event space. Cosy leather armchairs, tables made from old ship wood (upcycling is an important point for us), books and family heirlooms give the room a special flair.
5. Is there a motto or philosophy that guides the space/the people behind it?
The entire 4Eck rests on 4 pillars: Sustainability, Deceleration, Mindfulness and Innovation.
6. What types of companies or people can be found in the Space?
Everyone is welcome in the cosmopolitan 4Eck. We have welcomed large companies and well-known brands as well as small start-ups, product developers and many regular local customers.
7. What amenities or services does the space offer to fulfil customers' needs?
We organise the day as individually as possible and are happy to take special requirements and needs into account. In summer, lunch in the garden, support with the organisation of team building and supporting programmes or finding accommodation and, of course, a personal contact person who is present at all times. Another speciality is certainly the 4Eck's sustainable and regional, excellent cuisine.
8. Is there a special event or success story that has taken place in the space?
There have already been a lot of events, we are always particularly happy about small wedding celebrations, but a highlight last year was certainly the vernissage of Kerstin's sister Karolin Schumann, who also created the space and gave it its name.
